September 12, 2013, Cpl Shoma Nakano prepares a tanker bar to level a 6.5 liter engine in order to correctly align the transmission for reinstallation into a high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle September 12, 2013 in the Central Training Area of Okinawa, Japan. The Marines are working to replace a HMMWV engine during the 3rd Maintenance Battalion Field Exercise 13-2. The exercise provided an opportunity for the Marines to practice their skills in a field environment, better preparing them for real-world operations. Nakano is a Motor Transport Maintenance Technician from 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
