Command Master Chief, 3rd Medical Battalion
Command Master Chief Terence L. Harmon

CMDCM (SW/EXW/SCW) Terence L. Harmon serves as the Command Master Chief at 3D Medical Battalion Okinawa, Japan.  He is responsible for the good order and discipline in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice for 580 Sailors and Marines.

 

CMDCM (SW/EXW/SCW) Harmon was born in Talladega, Alabama.  He enlisted in the United States Navy on December 19, 1994 in Anniston, AL. He completed Recruit Training at RTC Great Lakes on March 1995. After recruit training, he reported to NTTC Great Lakes, IL for Seamanship Training school before reporting to his first fleet assignment.

 

His previous duty assignments include USS MOOSEBRUGGER (DD-980), Mayport, Florida; COMFLEACT, Yokosuka, Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina; Naval Expeditionary Guard Battalion, Guantanamo Bay Cuba; NCIS Threat Mitigation Unit, Manama, Bahrain; COMFLEACT Okinawa, Okinawa, Japan; NAVCONBRIG, Charleston, Charleston, South Carolina, USS Ashland LSD- 48, Sasebo, Japan; Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Little Creek, VA, NMCB 133, Gulfport, MS. 

 

He is a graduate of  Class 213 Senior Enlisted Academy and a graduate of the CSEL/COB Course 22140, he earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University in 2013 and a Bachelor’s of Science from Voorhees College in 2008.

 

CMDCM Harmon’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (9 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (9 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2 awards) and various campaign and service awards. He’s authorized to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare/Expeditionary Warfare/ and Seabee Combat Warfare designator.
