Sergeant Major Jesabel D. Cuadro

Sergeant Major Cuadro was born on 29 July 1980 in Brooklyn, New York.  She enlisted in the Marine Corps 23 January 2001 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, SC and graduated on 24 April 2001.  Upon graduation, Private First Class Cuadro reported to Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Geiger, NC.  After MCT Private First Class Cuadro reported to Aviation Maintenance Administration School at Meridian, MS where she received the military occupation of 6046 Aviation Maintenance Administration Clerk.  Upon graduation Private First Class Cuadro remained at the school as a Aviation Maintenance Administration Clerk and there was promoted to the ranks of Lance Corporal, Corporal and Meritorious Sergeant.

In April of 2004, Sergeant Cuadro was transferred to the Presidential Marine Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1) in Quantico, Va. She served as the Technical Publications Librarian NCO for the Green side.  During her tenure, she participated in many presidential missions and ensured that the CH-46 and CH-53 aircraft log books were safe for missions.  In April 2005 Sergeant Cuadro was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was transferred to the Presidential White side to be the SNCO for H-3 and H-60 aircraft logbooks, In support of Presidential Missions.  Staff Sergeant Cuadro also attended her resident Staff Academy Course.

In October 2008, Staff Sergeant Cuadro reported to Drill Instructor School Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island, SC. During her tenure she became a Green Belt Drill Instructor, a Senior Drill Instructor and a Chief Drill Instructor and trained over 500 recruits.  She was also a visits SNCO where she escorted high visibility guests throughout the Regiment. 

In October 2011, Staff Sergeant Cuadro was transferred to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron HMM (t)-164 KNIGHTRIDERS MAG-39 3DMAW Camp Pendleton, Ca, there she served as the Aviation Maintenance Administration SNCO/System Analyst for the CH-46 aircraft. During her stay she was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and attended her resident Advance PME at Camp Pendleton, Ca.  She also attended the advanced MOS course which awarded her the additional MOS of 6049 Aviation Maintenance Administration Data Analyst.

In October 2013, Gunnery Sergeant Cuadro was transferred to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM-163) EVIL EYES MAG-16 3D MAW, Miramar, Ca where she was the Aviation Maintenance Administration SNCO/System Analyst for the MV-22B Osprey aircraft.  Attached to VMM-163 Gunnery Sergeant Cuadro deployed with the 11th MEU aboard the USS MAKIN ISLAND. During her deployment she worked with the MV-22, CH-53, AV-8, H-60 aircraft.

In May 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Cuadro was selected to become an Instructor at FASOTRAGRU DET MWHS-3 3D MAW, MIRAMAR, Ca teaching MOS 6046/6049 specific classes for qualifications. Due to her husband receiving orders her time was cut short and in 2016 was transferred to COMNAVAIRFORLANTFLT MARFORCOM to be the Aviation Data Analyst for the Marine Corps.

In April of 2017 1stSgt Cuadro was selected to the rank of First Sergeant and was transferred to Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment in Yorktown, Virginia during her tour she was the Charlie Fast Co and Headquarters and Service Company First Sergeant. 

In July of 2019 1stSgt Cuadro reported to 3d Law Enforcement Battalion in Okinawa, Japan where she served as the Bravo Company First Sergeant and Battalion Sergeant Major.

In December of 2020 SgtMaj Cuadro reported to Combat Logistics Battalion-4 and is currently serving as the Battalion Sergeant Major.

Sergeant Major Cuadro’s Decorations include Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal in lieu of 5th Award, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal in lieu of 2nd Award, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
