Lieutenant Colonel Joshua A. Gregory

Lieutenant Colonel Gregory was born in January 1981 in Lakeland, Florida. After graduating from Sebring High School in 1999, he attended Jacksonville University where he graduated in 2003 and was subsequently commissioned a second lieutenant via the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. In 2004, upon completion of The Basic School, he reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida as a naval flight student.

In 2006, upon completion of the Ground Supply Officer’s Course, he was assigned to 3d Materiel Readiness Battalion where he served as the battalion supply officer.  Upon re-designation to Combat Logistics Regiment 35 he served as the regiment supply officer and OIC General Account.  During this tour, he deployed as an individual augment to Gulf Region Division, United States Army Corps of Engineers, Abu Ghraib, Iraq where he served as the Deputy Commander, Abu Ghraib Warehouse Complex.  Following the deployment, he reported to 3d Supply Battalion, CLR-35, 3d MLG, Okinawa, and was assigned as the OIC of the newly formed MAGTF Material Distribution Center and Commanding Officer, H&S Company.  In his capacity as the MMDC OIC, he participated in Exercises Cobra Gold in Thailand, Ulchi Focus Lens in Korea, and supported numerous other deployments in the Pacific AOR.           

In 2009, he reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC, where he served as the Operations Officer, AC/S G4 Installation and Logistics; Series Commander, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion; and Executive Officer, Recruit Processing Company, Support Battalion. 

In 2012, Captain Gregory was assigned to 1st Marine Regiment where he served as the Regimental Logistics Officer.  In December 2012, he was deployed to Afghanistan as the G-4 Advisor to the 215th Corps Afghanistan National Army in Helmand Province in support of Security Forces Assistance until December 2013.  Upon his return to 1st Marine Regiment, Major Gregory served as the Regimental Logistics Officer/Regimental Supply Officer.

In June 2014, Major Gregory was selected to attend Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, under the material logistics curriculum where he graduated with distinction in December 2015.  While attending Naval Postgraduate School, Major Gregory also completed the Naval War College Monterey Campus.   Major Gregory then reported to Marine Corps Logistics Command where he served as a material management officer, Branch Head, War Reserve Planning Branch, and director of the newly formed Fusion Cell within the G-3.

In June 2018, Major Gregory reported to CLR-25 and served as the executive officer of CLB-251 in support of Trident Juncture 2018 in Norway.  Upon his return, he served as the future operations officer for CLR-25 until selected to serve as the executive officer for CLR-27 where he served until May 2020. 

Lieutenant Colonel Gregory holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Business Administration in Global Business Management, and a Master of Business Administration in Material Logistics.  His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat V and Gold Star, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
