Lieutenant Colonel Brogan C. Issitt

Lieutenant Colonel Brogan C. Issitt enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1996 and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in January 2002.

 

As a Company Grade Officer he served as the Supply Officer for Headquarters Company, Regimental Combat Team One, and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2.0. Later, as the Supply Officer for Battalion Landing Team, First Battalion, First Marines attached to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, he conducted both Tsunami Relief efforts in Indonesia and missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 3.0.  Subsequently, as the Supply Officer for Task Force, First Battalion, First Marines, Regimental Combat Team Five, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5.7.  He then reported to Security Battalion, Quantico, Virginia, where he served as the Battalion’s Logistics Officer, and Headquarters Company Commander concurrently.  During the Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2008 surge effort, he conducted two cycles as a Platoon Commander, Officer Candidates School, Quantico, Virginia.  He later transferred to Okinawa to serve as the Company Commander, Motor Transportation Maintenance Company, 3d Maintenance Battalion, and later, he served as both the Operations Officer and Company Commander, Headquarters and Services Company, 3d Supply Battalion, where he participated in numerous Pacific-focused Theater Security Cooperation exercises. 

 

As a Field Grade Officer he was assigned as the Officer-in-Charge, Supply Management Unit, 3d Supply Battalion, Okinawa, Japan.  Upon completion of this tour, he executed joint duty orders, reporting as the Joint Plans, Operations, and Exercises Officer, Pacific Logistics Operations Center, Defense Logistics Agency Pacific, at Camp Smith, Hawaii, and deployed as the Operations Officer of the DLA Support Team - Afghanistan.  Later, while assigned to 2d Marine Logistics Group, he served as the Executive Officer, for 2d Maintenance Battalion, and then the Executive Officer, for Combat Logistics Regiment 27, where he was promoted to his current rank.  His most recent assignment was as the Branch Chief, Operations and Plans, Logistics Directorate, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Issitt transferred in June 2020 to assume command of 3d Maintenance Battalion in Okinawa, Japan.

Lieutenant Colonel Issitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas in 2001 and a Master of Science in Management from the University of Maryland in 2016.  His military education includes: Ground Supply Officers Course, Tactical Logistics Operations Course, Expeditionary Warfare School, Intermediate MAGTF Logistics Operations Course, Joint Logistics Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff, Joint and Combined Warfighting School at the Joint Forces Staff College, and the Army Command and General Staff College.

Lieutenant Colonel Issitt’s personal awards include: Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal with one Gold Star; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one Gold Star; Joint Service Achievement Medal; Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars; and Combat Action Ribbon.

He is married to Dori and they have three amazing children.
