Brig. Gen. Niel E. Nelson, along with other distinguished visitors from the 3rd Marine Logistics Group, are greeted by Capt. Thomas A. Carpenter as they disembark a CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter at Camp Gonsalves Sept. 12. Nelson and the distinguished visitors traveled to the Jungle Warfare Training Center to observe Marines from 3rd MLG participate in the basic jungle skills course. Nelson is the commanding general for 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force, and Carpenter is the operations officer for Camp Gonsalves, Marine Corps Instillations Pacific.
