A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, offloads a High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle during a helicopter support team aerial lift training at Landing Zone Falcon, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 20, 2022. The purpose of the training was to allow Marines with 1st MAW and 3rd Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, to maintain training and readiness qualifications while lifting a 7,000-pound load. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
