Marines with 3rd Marine Logistics Group attempt to use an Antidote Treatment Nerve Agent Autoinjector (ATNAA) on a Marine exposed to a simulated chemical agent Jan. 11, 2019 at Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. For instructional purposes, Marines practiced administering antidotes to simulated combatants affected by chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) agents. The ATNAA was designed to help Marines who have been exposed to CBRN agents. Marines trained in reconnaissance, surveillance and decontamination (RS&D) are required to take a refresher course every fiscal quarter to ensure they are capable of performing RS&D tasks operationally.
