Lance Cpl. Dario Covarrubias operates the crane of an Amphibious Assault Vehicle R7 during the reassembly of a M777 A2 Medium Towed Howitzer Sept. 14, 2018, at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Armament Repair Platoon repairs weapons in support of 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division to ensure the safety of the Marines operating the weapons. Covarrubias is an AAV mechanic with Armament Repair Platoon, Ordnance Maintenance Company, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
