U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Andres Gomez (Left) and Lance Cpl. Ivan Franck (Right), both chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialists, drag a simulated casualty toward the decontamination center at Pohang, South Korea, June 30, 2017. The scenario provided U.S. and ROK Marines with an opportunity to practice the skills necessary to detect and identify CBRN threats together. Korean Marine Exercise Program 17-7 is a continuous bilateral training exercise that promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula while enhancing the ROK and U.S. alliance. Gomez is a Los Angeles native and Franck is from Brooklyn, New York. Both Marines are with 3rd Marine Logistics Group Headquarters Regiment, 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
