U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Ivan Franck, a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear defense specialist, uses the Tru Defender and Multirae device to identify the source of a simulated CBRN hazard at Pohang, South Korea, June 30, 2017, during the Korean Marine Exercise Program 17-7. The scenario provided U.S. and ROK Marines with the skills necessary to detect and identify CBRN threats together. KMEP is a continuous bilateral training exercise that promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula while enhancing the ROK and U.S. alliance.
