Retired Marine Cpl. Samuel “Lee” Anderson, a former member of 5th Marine Division, poses with a flag atop Mount Suribachi while explaining what he did on the island to his sons March 24, 2018 on Iwo To, Japan. Anderson who fought for 21 days on the island until a landmine, set off by another Marine, knocked him unconscious, returned to the island to participate in the 73rd Reunion of Honor.
