U.S. Marine Cpl. Justin Smith and Cpl. Gabriel Aldrich swing pickaxes to chop dirt in support of KAMANDAG at Esperanza Elementary School in Casiguran, Aurora, Philippines, Sept. 19, 2017. KAMANDAG helps maintain a high level of readiness and enhances bilateral military relations and capabilities. Smith is a squad leader with Bravo Company, 9th Engineering Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logisitics Group, and is a native of Augusta, Georgia.
