The clinic consisted of Japanese major league baseball player Keiichi Hirano instructing the players on fundamental skills and techniques of baseball followed by a friendly game. “Watching Hirnao interact with the kids and seeing how the kids respond to a guy who is truly passionate about the game was my favorite part,” said King. “They were wide-eyed, paying attention and not fidgeting around. That was enjoyable to see.” The clinic consisted of Hirano instructing the players on fundamental skills and techniques of baseball followed by a friendly game. The day ended with prizes, lunch and a cake for all who participated. King is the commanding general of 3rd Marine Logistics group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
