Marines serving on the color guard detail stand ready during the ceremony for the 3rd Marine Logistics Group’s Marine Corps birthday ball Nov. 1 at the Butler Officers Club on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. The ceremony celebrated the Marine Corps’ 238th birthday, which is on Nov. 10. Marines around the world celebrate the birth of the Marine Corps this time of year with formal balls, uniform pageants and cake-cutting ceremonies. This specific ball involved commissioned and staff noncommissioned officers with 3rd MLG, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
