Philippine marines and U.S. Marines with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, assigned to the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force, engage targets using M16A4 rifles while conducting a stress shoot during Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) 14 at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in San Antonio, Zambales province, Philippines, Oct. 6, 2013. A stress shoot incorporated physical exercises before shooting to increase the service members' fatigue in order to simulate combat conditions. PHIBLEX is a bilateral training exercise designed to improve the interoperability, readiness and professional relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps and partner nations.
