U.S. Marines stand in formation beside their Royal Thai counterparts Feb. 20 during a dedication ceremony for the new building constructed at Ban Kuad Nam Man School, Chat Trakarn District, Phitsanulok province, Kingdom of Thailand, as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2013. Thai service members are with the 302nd Engineer Battalion, Royal Thai Army. The Marines are with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Exercise Cobra Gold includes humanitarian and civic assistance projects, a staff exercise and field training exercises. Joint and multinational training is vital to maintaining the readiness and interoperability of all participating military forces.
