The Marine Corps Association and Foundation honored Cpl. Nelfi Tineoferreiras as its Marine of the Year 2017 Jan. 12, 2018, at the Butler Officer's Club, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Tineoferreiras, the noncommissioned officer-in-charge of Receiving Section, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and native of the Dominican Republic was nominated to be the MCA&F Marine of the Year 2017 for her outstanding performance, some of which included her technical proficiency, dedication to her duties and demonstration of the Marine Corps' core values.
