LtCol. Paul G. Harris was born in Lubbock, TX on 08 July 1982. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 and was commissioned in March of 2007. While a student at The Basic School, LtCol Harris was assigned the 0402 Logistics Officer MOS. Upon completion of the Logistics Operations Course, he was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 3d Marine Division and served as the Assistant Embarkation Officer for the G-4 section. In January of 2009, LtCol Harris was assigned to 3d Reconnaissance Battalion for duty as the Assistant Logistics Officer. LtCol Harris deployed to Afghanistan with Bravo Company (Rein), 3d Reconnaissance Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit operated under Marine Expeditionary Brigade - Afghanistan and was designated Task Force Raider. After returning from his deployment, LtCol Harris executed orders to Marine Air Control Squadron 4. While assigned to MACS-4, LtCol Harris served as both the Logistics Officer and Headquarters Company Commander. In April of 2012, LtCol Harris served as an individual augment to Joint Task Force Bravo (Honduras). He was assigned to Army Forces Battalion and served as the Assistant Operations Officer for six months. During this deployment, he directly supported the Joint Interagency Task Force South Operation Anvil. LtCol Harris reported to U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific in May of 2014 and served as a Logistics Planner within the G-4 Branch for two years. During his final year, he served as Aide-de-Camp for Deputy Commander Brigadier General Brian Cavanaugh. In October of 2018, LtCol Harris graduated from the Japanese Special Projects Course at the Defense Language Institute in preparation for his follow-on assignment as a foreign professional military education student at the Japan Ground Self Defense Force Command and General Staff Course. LtCol Harris graduated from the course in March of 2020. LtCol Harris reported to 1st Transportation Support Battalion in June of 2020 and assumed command of Support Company. The company deactivated in April of 2021 and reactivated as Landing Support Equipment Company under 1st Landing Support Battalion. While serving as the LSE Company Commander, LtCol Harris deployed to Jackson County, Oregon and served as the Officer in Charge of Task Force Benfold. The Task Force integrated with both County, State, and Federal agencies to establish the Pilot Community Vaccination Center to support Corona Virus Disease vaccination efforts. LtCol Harris reported to the III Marine Expeditionary Force Command Element in July of 2022 for assignment as the Assistant Operations Officer in the G-4. Upon promotion to LtCol on 1 November 2022, LtCol Harris executed orders to 3d Marine Division to serve as the G-4 Operations Officer and Deputy AC/S G-4. In August of 2025, LtCol Harris reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 35 to serve as the Executive Officer. He assumed command of 3d Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3 in October 2025. LtCol Harris attended Zukeran Elementary School, Lester Middle School, and Kubasaki High School.
