First Sergeant Sinelli was born on 08 August 1979 in Detroit, MI. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in January 2005 and reported for recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Upon graduation from 2d Battalion, Fox Company, Private Sinelli attended the School of Infantry (SOI), at Camp Lejeune NC, earning the 0311 MOS. While attending SOI Private Sinelli took the Recon selection and was selected to attend Amphibious Reconnaissance School (ARS). Private Sinelli was promoted to Private First Class in July of 2005 and received orders to 2d Reconnaissance Battalion.
In July 2005 Private First Class Sinelli reported to Headquarters & Service Company (H&S), 2d Reconnaissance Battalion to begin training for ARS. Private First Class Sinelli Graduated ARS in December of 2005 earning the 0321 MOS. Private First Class Sinelli was promoted to Lance Corporal in March of 2006 and in July 2006 Lance Corporal Sinelli deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lance Corporal Sinelli was promoted to Corporal in October 2006. Corporal Sinelli deployed with the 22nd MEU from August 2007 to January 2008 supporting humanitarian operations in Bangladesh and counter piracy operations off the coast of Somalia. Corporal Sinelli was promoted to Sergeant in January 2008 and received order to 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, Okinawa, Japan.
Sergeant Sinelli reported to Charlie Company, 3d Reconnaissance Bn in June 2008. In September 2008 Sergeant Sinelli deployed to Jolo Island in the southern Philippines augmenting ODA 1234 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom Philippines. Sergeant Sinelli served as a Reconnaissance Team Leader while at 3d Reconnaissance Battalion and received orders to Special Operations Training Group III Marine Expeditionary Force in September 2010 to serve as the training chief.
In July 2011 Sergeant Sinelli reported to the Marine Detachment at Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) schoolhouse in Portsmouth NH. While at the SERE schoolhouse Sergeant Sinelli trained students in level C full spectrum code of conduct training. Sergeant Sinelli was promoted to Staff Sergeant in April 2012.
Staff Sergeant Sinelli reported to Force Reconnaissance Company III MEF in September 2014. As a Force Company team leader he supported multiple exercises in the Pacific Command (PACOM) Area of Operations (AO). Staff Sergeant Sinelli was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in November 2016 and was assigned as the platoon sergeant for 1st platoon. Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli's platoon was responsible for multiple missions in the PACOM AO, to include Presidential security, Integrated Survey Program (ISP) and Counter Narcotic Terrorism missions. In September 2017 Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli was selected to be the Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) at the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) Personnel Recovery Academy (PRA) in Spokane Washington.
In September 2017 Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli reported to JPRA in Spokane WA. Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli served as the SEA to 12 enlisted service members and 3 officers. Service members were comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force. Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli received orders to 2d Reconnaissance Battalion in September 2020.
Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli reported to Bravo Comany 2d Reconnaissance Battalion in October 2020 where he was assigned as the assistant operations chief. He was later appointed as the Company First Sergeant for Bravo Company. While serving as the Bravo Company First Sergeant, First Sergeant Sinelli deployed to Norway in support of Cold Response 22. In August 2022 Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli was selected to be the H&S company First Sergeant. Gunnery Sergeant Sinelli was promoted to First Sergeant in December 2022 and received orders to 1st Battalion 8th Marines.
On December second 2022 First Sergeant Sinelli reported to 1st Battalion 8th Marines where he served as Company B First Sergeant until August of 2023.
First Sergeant Sinelli checked into Combat Logistics Battalion in August of 2023 where he would serve as the H&S Company First Sergeant. While serving as the H&S Company First Sergeant, First Sergeant Sinelli deployed to Norway in support of Joint Viking 25 where he served as the acting Battalion Sergeant Major.
In June of 2025, First Sergeant Sinelli reported to 3d Landing Support Battalion in Okinawa Japan where he served as the Landing Support Company, Company First Sergeant. In April of 2026 First Sergeant Sinelli was chosen to be the acting 3d Landing Support Battalion, Battalion Sergeant Major where he currently serves.
First Sergeant Sinelli earned an associates degree in general studies. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star in lieu of two awards, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon with one gold star in lieu of two awards.
