Executive Officer, 3rd Medical Battalion
Captain Mohenish K. Daughtry

Captain Daughtry serves as Executive Officer at 3d Medical Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group. A native of Sacramento, California, Captain Daughtry earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge, CA in 2000 and 2002. She commissioned in the Navy through the Health Professions Scholarship Program in 2006 and graduated with Doctorate Degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, MO in 2010 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL graduating in June 2013. She completed Field Medical Service Officer course at Camp Pendleton, CA, and served as the Senior Medical officer and Battalion surgeon for Headquarters Battalion, 3d Marine Division Okinawa, Japan. She supported multiple deployment exercises partnering with host nation militaries. She then transferred to U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa and served as the Department Head for Branch Medical Clinic Bush on Camp Foster from August 2015 to October 2017.

Captain Daughtry was assigned to EMF Kilo at NMRTC Camp Lejeune and served as Faculty of Family Medicine, Assistant Department Head and Department Head and as Associate Professor for Uniformed Services University (USUHS) where she led the largest clinic in the command. She then transferred and was stationed at NMRTC Pensacola and served as the Director for Branch Clinics. During this assignment, she was deployed to support Operation Allies Welcome in support of Task Force Pickett, VA from November 2021-February 2022. She also served in the role as the Associate Director for Branch Clinics.

Upon completion of her assignment in Florida, she was selected for her next assignment as Executive Officer at 3d Medical Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group in Okinawa, Japan. There she ensured the delivery of Role 2 Health Service support through multiple internation and local exercises. The unit also demonstrated operational readiness after successfully passing the Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation during Resolute Dragon 25.

Captain Daughtry is a member of the U.S. Academy of Family Physicians (USAFP), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). She is a Fleet Marine Force Warfare Qualified Officer whose personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and other personal and service medals and ribbons. She was also recognized as Master Clinician at NMRTC Camp Lejeune.
