Captain Justin C. Logan

Captain Justin C. Logan, MSC, USN

 

A native of Tennessee, Captain Logan received a Bachelor of Science from Bethel College in 1996 and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Memphis in 1999.  In February 2001, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Medical Service Corps.

 

Upon completion of Officer Indoctrination School, he was assigned to Naval Hospital, Beaufort, SC, serving as the Assistant Head, Operating Management Department and Command Legal Officer.

 

In October 2003, Captain Logan reported to Navy Recruiting Region South in Macon, GA, serving as the Medical Programs Officer. 

 

Captain Logan received a release from active duty in July 2006.  He accepted a position as a Human Resources Recruiter with St. Thomas Health Services in Nashville, TN.

 

In July 2008, he requested a recall to active duty and reported to 2d Medical Battalion, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, NC.  Captain Logan deployed to Afghanistan in May 2009 with Bravo Surgical Company, Combat Logistics Regiment-2.  Upon his return to 2d Medical Battalion in November 2009, he assumed the duties of S-3 Officer. 

 

In August 2011, he reported to Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC, as Deputy Director for Administration and Department Head, Patient Administration.

 

In July 2013, Captain Logan reported to USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) as the Director for Administration.  During his tour, MERCY deployed in support of RIMPAC 2014 and Pacific Partnership 2015. 

 

In November 2015, he reported to 2d Marine Logistics Group as the Health Service Support Officer.  In June 2016, Captain Logan was appointed as an Assistant Specialty Leader for Health Care Administration. 

 

In April 2018, Captain Logan reported to Navy Medicine East, Portsmouth, VA, as the Deputy Chief of Staff, M9, where he assisted with the transition to Naval Medical Forces Atlantic.

 

Captain Logan reported to 2d Medical Battalion, 2d Marine Logistics Group, in May 2020 as the Executive Officer.

 

Captain Logan’s military awards include: Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd award).
