Purpose

To build and sustain a strong Family Readiness Program at the regimental and company level that serves the needs of families in CLR-37, particularly the families of deployed Marines and Sailors.

Method

The CLR 37 Family Readiness program will:

  • Continually recruit and train volunteers at the company level so that CLR-37 companies are better equipped to deal with OEF, OIF, and theater deployments as well as the stress of being forward-deployed in Okinawa.
  • Facilitate regular communications between the command and families. Push the envelope on new methods such as social-networking web sites.
  • Provide information and referral services to family members, particularly spouses of deployed Marines and Sailors.
  • Support regimental and company level activities which build camaraderie and unity among CLR-37 families.
  • Assist in the execution of pre-deployment and mid-deployment briefs and in the execution of post-deployment briefs and reception activities.
  • Capitalize on the collective strengths and talents of all companies in order to build a stronger CLR-37 Family Readiness Program at both the regimental and company level.

  • Strongly support the 3d MLG Family Readiness Program and adhere to the 3d MLG Family Readiness SOP.

End State

  •  Self-sufficient companies equipped to provide basic information and referral services and execute unit events which facilitate camaraderie and unity.
  • Regular communications between CLR-37 and families, with an emphasis on communication with spouses and families of deployed Marines and Sailors.

  • A strong regimental Family Readiness program that facilitates company Family Readiness efforts and provides information and referral services beyond what the companies can provide.
  • Responsive fiscal support for Family Readiness activities and impeccable accountability of all Non-Appropriated Funds.
  • Responsive support to Marines and Sailors returning from deployment, including IAs.
