Heavy Haulers, Helicopter Support Team flex their muscles during Northern Viper
August 27, 2017 — A helicopter support team with CLB-4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistic Group, practices external lifts with pilots of MAC-36, 1st MAW during Exercise Northern Viper. “External lifts are important because it allows the Marine Air Ground Task Force commander to shape the battle space,” said Capt. Patrick X. Kelly, a CH-53E pilot currently forward deployed under the Unit Deployment Program.
Ammo Company disposes ammunition
July 11, 2017 — The Marines with Ammunition Company, 3d Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3d Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force loaded up approximately 130 pallets of ammunition at the ASP to be transported and returned to the Naval Munitions Command on Sasebo Navy Base, Japan, for proper disposal.
