Lieutenant Colonel Jarrad Caola
Lieutenant Colonel Caola is a native of Somerset, Pennsylvania. As part of a Department of Defense family, he spent school years both stateside and in Germany. In 2002, he graduated from Louisiana State University and was commissioned in the Marine Corps through the OCC program.
After commissioning, Lieutenant Colonel Caola completed the Basic School and the Logistics Officer’s Course. His operating forces assignments have included Platoon Commander, Truck Company, 1st Marine Division; Maintenance Management Officer and Assistant Logistics Officer for Battalion Landing Team 2/ 4 in support of the 31st and 15th Marine Expeditionary Units; Company Commander for Combat Logistics Battalion 8; Operations Officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 26; G-4 Future Operations and Logistics Plans Officer, 3d Marine Division; and G-3 Operations Officer at 3d Marine Logistics Group.
Lieutenant Colonel Caola has participated in combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, serving as a Platoon Commander supporting 1st Marine Division; and in 2010 during Operation Enduring Freedom supporting Regimental Combat Team 8. While assigned as the operations officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 26, the Battalion supported Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts and deployed with the 26 Marine Expeditionary Unit to CENTCOM as the theater reserve.
Lieutenant Colonel Caola’s supporting establishment assignments have included Academics Instructor, Staff Platoon Command for Alpha Company, Executive Officer for Echo and India Companies, The Basic School; and Action Officer, Future Operations Branch, Operations Division, Plans, Policies and Operations Department, Headquarters Marine Corps.
Lieutenant Colonel Caola is currently assigned as the Commanding Officer, 3d Transportation Support Battalion.
Lieutenant Colonel Caola is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School and USMC Command and General Staff College. He holds a bachelor’s of science in International Trade and Finance from Louisiana State University, a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Boston University, and was Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI fellow. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with combat distinguishing device and gold star, and Combat Action Ribbon with gold star.
Lieutenant Colonel Caola is married to the love of his life and they have three amazing children.
