Colonel Omar J. Randall

Colonel Omar J. Randall was born in the Bronx, New York. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1996 following graduation from the University of Connecticut. He is also a graduate of The Basic School, the Landing Force Logistics Officers Course, Expeditionary Warfare School, U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College and the Top Level School Fellowship at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Colonel Randall's command assignments include: Platoon Commander, 1st Landing Support Battalion; Transportation Detachment Commander, Marine Expeditionary Unit Service Support Group-13; Company Commander, Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division and Battalion Commander, Combat Logistics Battalion-31.

Colonel Randall's staff assignments include: Assistant Operations Officer, 1st Landing Support Battalion; Inspector-Instructor, 4th Air Delivery Platoon and Beach and Terminal Operations Company “A”, 4th Landing Support Battalion; Assistant Operations Officer, Transportation Support Group (OIF); Battalion Logistics Officer, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines; Battalion Logistics Officer, Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division; Joint Logistics Planner, Logistics Plans Division, Directorate for Logistics and Engineering, United States Central Command; Section Head, Logistics Plans and Operations Section (LPO-1), Headquarters Marine Corps; Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics (AC/S G-4), 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade and AC/S G-4, 3d Marine Division.

Colonel Randall’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal (2nd Award), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd Award) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3rd Award). Colonel Randall and his wife have three children.
