Captain David M. Larsen II entered the United States Marine Corps in 2009 after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma and completing Officer Candidate School.
Upon completion of The Basic School, Captain Larsen attended Logistics Officers Course and obtained the MOS 0402, Logistics Officer.
In 2010 Captain Larsen reported to Truck Company, Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division where he was a Truck Platoon Commander and Company Maintenance Officer. During this time, Captain Larsen deployed with 2d Combat Engineer Battalion ISO Operation Enduring Freedom as their assistant Battalion Logistics Officer. During this deployment, Captain Larsen was sent TAD to an Afghan National Army Training Team and instructed and mentored Afghan Soldiers on logistics and convoy operations.
In 2013, Captain Larsen was assigned to the Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms. During this time he held several billets to include the Motorized Operations Training OIC and the Logistics Operations Training Section OIC.
In 2016 Captain Larsen reported to Combat Logistics Company 36 (CLC-36) and filled the billets of Maintenance Officer, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer.
Captain Larsen assumed command of Combat Logistics Company 36, Iwakuni, Japan, on 3 May 2017.
Captain Larsen is married and has one daughter.
